Steel Target Stand, Tripod Style

from 95.00

These stands are almost identical to the TALL stands I use for SCSA (Steel Challenge Shooters Association) matches at Atlanta Conservation Club.  (And far superior to the short ones we use.)  The TALL variant is 5'6" to the top of the target, when hung -- provided the hang-bolt is 2" below the top of your target.   The TALL variant holds 18x24 targets at the SCSA regulation height.

All parts of the stand are 3/8" thick, legs and spine included.  Grade 8 hardware holds the legs to the hip.  The head and hip both are made of AR-500.   The legs and spine are mild steel.

The hang points are sized for 1/2" bolts, but 3/8" bolts work great, too.  The top of the hang-head has a slot for quick on-off target hanging, and also a hole for "jump-out-free" hanging of targets.

DON'T SELECT STANDARD HEIGHT JUST YET.  They are in the works, but not yet in stock...

SHORT variant differences/similarities:  45-inch hang height.  1/4" thick legs to save weight and cost. (.308 leaves a mark, but didn't bend the leg.)   Same 3/8" AR-500 hips and heads.   SHORT weighs 13.5 pounds.

MICRO variant differences/similarities:  37-inch hang height.  1/4" thick legs to save weight and cost. (.308 leaves a mark, but didn't bend the leg.)   Same 3/8" AR-500 hips and heads.  MICRO weighs 11 pounds.

No shipping is available at this time.   Make arrangements to meet me at Atlanta Conservation Club.  I might check with UPS to see if shipping is feasible, but I haven't done that, yet.

These stands are designed for use with STEEL (SCSA type) targets ::  10" diameter, 12" diameter, and rectangular targets up to 24x36 inches.  AR 500 target steel is recommended.

Targets and hanging hardware are not included with the stand.
